Click the buttons below for printable yoga sequences formulated for you!

These short sequences of poses and movements can be great to use during a break mid-day or long & slow to start or end the day. You do not need a large space, a yoga mat or "yoga clothes" for these...or for any yoga!

I love yoga asana - the postures and flows we make and do with our bodies are a beautiful and delicious celebration of the physical body. I also love to celebrate how much I have also grown mentally and emotionally since the beginning of my yoga practice.

Yoga is far greater than just poses!

Allow me to share the eight limbs on the yoga path...

Yama - Restraints (non-violence, truthfulness, non-stealing, non-excess, non-possessiveness)

Niyama - Observances (purity, contentment, self-discipline, self-study, surrender)

Asana - physical postures

Pranayama - Breath "life force extension" or "breath control"

Pratyahara - withdrawal or sensory transcendence

Dharana - concentration

Dhyana - meditation or uninterrupted concentration

Samadhi - enlightenment

The eight limbed path of yoga is a slow steady and intentional path that one can take.

This is a beautiful lifelong journey that I am so grateful to be experiencing.

I'm inspired to share the journey with you!

I lead restorative yoga classes & here's why...

When I began exploring yoga classes I was worried I'd find myself a bit bored. I assumed yoga would be too slow for my liking. I was looking for the ability to move and stretch to compliment heavy lifting and some running. I joined a studio with a variety of classes. I tried them all. I enjoyed them all! I recall the class that changed my yoga path - I was in class and we were guided into supine butterfly (facing up, back resting at an angle supported by a bolster, soles of the feet together and arms resting wide on each side of my body) and the teacher was sharing readings from a book on the ethical practices of yoga. She was specifically reading about the Niyama, Santosha (one of the 8 limbs of the yoga path)...the words pierced my heart and the tears began to flow down the sides of my face. I was suppose to be there, to hear that message, to heal more. I continued attending more restorative, yin, gentle flow classes and really appreciating the connection I was making with myself.  I was experiencing breakthrough in my physical AND mental health.

My physical fitness journey & priorities shifted. I began to move more intuitively to support my mind, body & soul. I began honoring my physical and spiritual energy in a way that felt so kind, so healing. I was honoring my abilities instead of focusing on my inabilities. I stopped moving to change the aesthetics and started moving to honor the environment of my whole being.

It is my pleasure to bring restorative + yin style practices to my community. My mission is to bring light to the peace & love that already exists inside each of us, turn it on and turn it up!

What to expect when you come to my yoga classes?

We begin with a gentle warm up, move into a short and gentle flow and the second half of class is a series of yin style poses held for several minutes then we end with savasana.

I integrate soothing music, inspirational readings, guided meditations, mudras, mantras and aromatherapy.

When we move through any flow in my class it will be slow and intentional to provide time and ability to really connect the breath with movement, feel the alignment & sensations of the body.

When we are holding poses for several minutes I guide you into the pose and encourage you to find your edge. Find where the body naturally wants to stop. In the a restorative + yin yoga asana practice there is no need to achieve. If after settling into the pose you feel the ability to shift deeper into it, honor that. However, let the body provide this message, not the ego. The purpose is to honor the edge, notice the messages of the body, allow time and space to be silent and turn inward. It becomes a beautiful meditative experience.

Restorative Yoga with Acupressure Foot Massage

Enjoy one of my 60 minute Restorative Flows with some special love to the feet - mid practice! I also share a nice guided mindfulness practice at the end that incorporates awareness of the earth,  air,  water & fire elements within the body.

You might appreciate grabbing a bolster blanket & block (or any alternatives) to bring support and softness to your practice.

Let me know if you try it and what you think!
